ABOUT
Michael P. Johnson is a director and video editor in Los Angeles, California. With over a decade of professional editing experience, Michael has cut short films, music videos, comedy sketches, and nonfiction pieces.
He also edits trailers, TV spots, and sizzle reels for some of the industry’s biggest studios and streamers at the entertainment marketing agency AV Squad. For his work here, Michael has been nominated for Promax and CLIO awards, as well as winning an Emmy for Outstanding Promotional Announcement at the Television Academy’s News & Documentary awards.
Born and raised in Michigan, Michael earned a B.A. in Film & Video Production after directing his college thesis film. While remaining employed in post-production in LA, he has directed a number of his own projects in recent years, as well.
Michael edits on Adobe Premiere Pro, operating out of downtown Los Angeles on a three-screen 27" iMac setup, with generous memory, processing power, and storage capabilities.
